This page in particular is dedicated to the artistic side of food preperation. In Italy food plating is not always given the utmost importance, however, it is always appreciated. It is also a great way to get a laugh out of your family and friends!

GREAT TO BRING WITH YOU TO A DINNER
Even though it isn’t of Italian origin I have gotten more laughs and enjoyment out of humorous fruit trays and carvings in Italy than anywhere else!
When an Italian invites you to dinner it is very important to bring something with you, usually a bottle of wine or a dessert. The problem is that Italians know their wine and are particular about their desserts. So, being invited for an Italian meal can get expensive!
I learned that humorous fruit trays are a great way around this problem! They don’t cost much and are very appreciated, not to mention a great conversation piece, believe me if you learn this trick you will always make a bella figura!
